Kia ora, welcome to my website. On this site you will find information about the counselling, supervision, training and research that I have been involved with. I am currently living in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand working at the University of Auckland having previously worked at Auckland University of Technology. Prior to this, I lived in Brisbane, Australia and Glasgow, Scotland working within a variety of academic institutions as well as in private practice and consultancy. |

As a member of BACP I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy in all areas of my work, as well as the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy.
| I initially qualified with a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Strathclyde in 2000, and a Certificate in Person-Centred Supervision in 2004. In 2009 I undertook training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) with Prof Robert Elliott and in 2010 I completed a PhD in counselling research at the University of Abertay supervised by Prof John McLeod. I have been an active member of BACP, PCT Scotland, and WAPCEPC (the World Association for Person Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling). |
